Jimmy Jack Band Bios

Jimmy Jack

Jimmy Jack

Jimmy has been rocking the North Coast of Ohio, Southern Michigan and the Lake Erie islands for almost two decades in several different bands. Some of the other lineups Jimmy has played with include- Sumrada, Crush 11, The Remedy, and an earlier version of the Jimmie Jack Band. Over the years he has played hundreds of solo acoustic shows too. Besides the band, he also plays acoustic duo shows with Katy Namen-Helms where you can hear a little softer side of his musical tastes. No doubt, he’s belting it out like usual and there is always some old school alternative rock tunes still hitting the acoustic set lists.
This new incarnation of The Jimmy Jack Band is where you can see all of his experience and skills come together to highlight the energy, passion and sweetness he’s known for bringing to every performance. To know him is to understand just how serious he is about his craft and his constant pursuit of perfection. With two original discs to his credit including “Call It Like It Is” and “Three Kords and a Kloud Of Dust”, he is currently writing and producing another compilation of original material to be released in late 2014. Jimmy’s whiskey and cigarette covered vocals combined with his arsenal of different guitar tones and charismatic stage presence are not to be missed.

You have got to see him live to appreciate all that he brings to the table. Check him out for yourself………you will not be disappointed!

Danny Hearns

Danny Hearns

Explosive and hard hitting is just a couple of words to describe one of Cleveland’s best drummers around, Danny Hearns III. Born and raised a musician Danny began playing at the age of 5, and hasn’t stopped since. Danny showed great potential in his early years playing drums. His father, Danny Hearns Jr, also a drummer, saw Danny’s talent and introduced him to many different styles of music. Danny studied bands like The Doors, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, and The Who. Danny started playing shows at the age of 14 and took off like a rocket! At that point he joined his first band, Chronic Corruption. They were an all original band made up of four high school freshman playing hard rock n roll music. Danny parted ways after one year of playing with Chronic Corruption, but took bass player Greg David and formed a punk band that he would play in until Danny got his big break with a band called Start it Up! That year Danny Hearns, 17 years old, won the Regional drum off at Guitar Center, and also was in a New Found Glory music video. From that point on Danny knew he wanted to be a professional musician. Danny has grown tremendously with talent, and is now currently working with artist such as The Jimmy Jack Band, Zup, and Dj Swerve.

Scott Artrip

Scott Artrip

Scott has been playing in bands since he was 17. When a band he was playing keyboard in lost their bassist he decided to try to learn the bass to take over the spot and has never looked back. He has held down the bottom end in many bands over the years playing Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Alternative and almost any other style of music he could find. Jimmy and Scott have crossed paths over the years, jamming with different musicians in the Cleveland area. When Jimmy called Scott and told him about the hard hitting, talented drummer he was working with, Danny Hearns, Scott was happy to come in and help fill out the lineup and The Jimmy Jack Band was formed.
